For us who have it hard.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job, and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil. 2 There were born to him seven sons and three daughters. 3 He possessed 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female donkeys, and very many servants, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.
JOB 1: 1-3

Job, as you read this, was a rightous man in Gods eyes. He was blessed with many things and many children; This man was the greatest of all the people of the east at this time. Wouldnt you like to have God look on you like He looked on Job?

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan  also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”
JOB 1: 6-8

Here you see that Satan has came before God and said that he was having his way with the people on Earth. God said to him what about Job, he is a rightous man who fears me and denies you.
Awesome!!! To have God say that about you is just somthing that could never be described by words. For our Loving Father, who gave His son for our sins to tell Lucifer himself this man is wholely mine by his own accord is...a goal to have.

Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? 10 Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
JOB 1: 9-12

What? Wait a minute; Did God just tell satan that Job, the rightous man of God, was in Satans hands? God, just turned the man that has been surving Him completely with his life over to the devil. Not cool at all.

13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, 14 and there came a messenger to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 and the Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 16 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 17 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The Chaldeans formed three groups and made a raid on the camels and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 18 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, 19 and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”
JOB 1: 13-19

In case you decided to skip that move onto the narated part, Here's what happened. JOB LOST EVERYTHING! His kids, DEAD!, His servants,DEAD!, His live stock,DEAD!, etc......You get the point; everything that Job had on this earth  is gone except for his house and his wife and a few servants,(the ones that came and gave him the bad news.). I am pretty sure that his kids being killed was the worst of it all for him.
How would you react if this happened to you? What would you do if you just lost your loved one and everything else in one swooping motion? What do you think Job did? Lets see.

20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
22 In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
JOB 1: 20-22

Job mourned and praised GOD! He fell to his knees and told the Lord that he knew where all his posessions had come from and and said,"Blessed be the name of the Lord." That is an amazing feat, for a person to have enough faith that they Know without a doubt that our complete lives, everything to do with us, is in Gods hands, and know that His plans are bigger than us.
I just lose my kids, I wouldnt want to know me, my reaction would not be as honorable as Jobs.
Anyways Job didnt sin and God should be reigning down blessings on this loyal subject of His, Right?

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.”
JOB 2: 1-3

Dont say it. I know, like why do you keep throughing your man Job under the bus? If you think the first one was bad, check this out.

And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”
JOB 2: 6

ONLY SPARE HIS LIFE!? Do you think this is going to be good?

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself while he sat in the ashes.
JOB 2: 7-8

Hold on there's more.

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.”
JOB 2: 9

WOW.....WOW.....WOW....Can you imagine? The love of your life, mother of your dead children, who has been with you for years. CURSE GOD AND DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Job had to break, there is no way a person can with stand all of this and keep his eyes on God. If you will imagine having boils all over your body; Eye lids, under your arms, personal places, and how painful this would be with the puss and infection; Can you say,"OUCH!". But what did my man Job do?

10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
JOB 2: 10

We all go through hard times, and some times it gets so over whelming that we cant tell up from down, we are in the valley of the shadow of DEATH! Job was there and he held on to GOD with all of his might and said" BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD!".

63 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; My soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you,as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.Because your steadfast love is better than life,my lips will praise you.
PSALMS 63: 1-3

Job had his focus on God and knew that God is all he needed, and that is where he found the strength to go on. If you have GOD when the hard times come you will not be alone, He will be your rock, He will hold you and carry you. Job knew this, do you?
